"'buy you a drink?' is this what people listen to?" "that song is pretty old actually." "oh god, then how old does that make me?"

Being a teenager is full of random realizations and epiphanies! You become naturally smarter! Like, today I realized the dude that sits next to me in social studies looks like David Bowie, and that the only time I like pictures of flowers is if they're dead.Like I said in my last post, we teenagers need lots of sleep, so today I got a FULL 15 minutes in during gym! You might ask how this is possible, and guilt fills me in admitting that my day is not in fact as interesting as it sounds. I'm not in dodgeball or exercise or anything and did not randomly drop to the floor, I'm in yoga. But I love yoga, so this is okay. You see, I was very strategic in picking my gym units for the last trimester: Walk-Fit, where you walk laps, and seriously get detentions for running; Yoga, where entire periods are devoted to relaxation/sleeping; and Orienteering, where you go to the park and look at a map and scratch your head in confusion.tavi tee, available in sidebar. thrifted skirt, shoes, cardigan. chris & jaime rope necklace cut off of dress. drugstore tights.
On to even more LIFE-ALTERING AND GROUNDBREAKINGLY INSANE NEWS, I dressed like easter egg throw up today. The skirt is this slip I got yesterday at Salvation Army while the lady working there threatened to beat my dad with her cane because she thought he was a random man that came in to follow me around.Obvz won't wear it as a slip, might just use the fabric or wear it in more acidic ways like today. Was gonna put it on eBay because it is in mostly great shape but there are tiny stains and rips that make it wearable but not quite sellable.
Speaking of eBay, every CWAC item that could've been sold so far has. This means we've raised $134.97 so far!! Lots of new items should go up this weekend and I'll be sure to update when there's something new. I really can't tell you guys how thankful I am for the bidding and donations and support. You are amazing beyond belief.
If you missed the first post on CWAC, get filled in here.Lately I have been living in this tiny bizarre bubble of strange things and oddities and I quite like it.

Dodgeball got banned from our school because some kids "got hurt" playing.. arghh.

Orienteering sounds so fun!

You have the option of Yoga in gym? Lucky girl, I was always getting hit in the head with the volleyball. I think it was intentional, the kids resented that I had fishnets on under my gym shorts.

This outfit is one of your best. You say easter egg puke, I say whimsical yet badass.

And congrats on the CWAC success, I'm sure you'll raise even more.

Is it weird that I think you look older already? Because I do. Think that.

Absolutely awesome outfit... And lucky you on those gym periods! We had options of lacrosse / lacrosse / lacrosse or, oh yes, lacrosse. Except in summer, when we played netball. Joys! So need a slip like that. The colours are cute as hell and congrats on the total raised!

Back in middle school (last year) we could do yoga. Now that I'm a scary high school student I walk around a track during gym. Hope your enjoying being a teenager!

My PE class is just walking around a track. I have to discombobulate(soooo not spelled accuratley)my outfit in 5 minutes, in the gross locker rooms. I've been wanting to wear all pastels but i'm not sure how to effectivley translate it into menswear, or at least in a way that doesn't look like a first communion outfit (which at the age of 15, i have not had)

I personally don't like P.E. I didn't take it at all throughout middle school. But I would never think of buying a slip to incorporate into an outfit. I'm thinking it'll look good though.

Love the slip as is, and I live in Iowa City, so I am familiar with the pull of Slaughter House Five. It's a great one.

Liking the dress. Easter egg colors FTW.
And he looks like David Bowie? I'm guessing without all the makeup and whatnot... ;P

I love that slip. You have such a good eye. I would have totally overlooked that.

P.S.True Story: I got scolded for skipping (like, you know, frolicking, not skipping class) when we were supposed to jog. I like to think I was jogging with charisma.

Great that the CWAC sale is going well:).

Your pictures of dead flowers made me think of a great obscure 60's garage band song, "Don't send Me Flowers I Ain't Dead Yet", by the Breakers.

Slaughter-House 5 is one of my most favourite books! I hope you are enjoying it as much as I did/do.

I was thrifting today (I'm on vacation in San Francisco!) and was looking for slips and bustiers, and did not find anything near as cool as that so-called Easter egg vomit :(

Okay, first, I totally love that outfit. And second, your skill at choosing gym classes comes close to overcoming my own (in college I took racquetball but made up for it by choosing ballroom dance as my other gym credit!)

Yoga in school! I might have to transfer to your district! <3

Your outfit is actually very wonderful, not vomitrocious. I love how it's difficult to tell what part of your outfit is shirt, what part is skirt, what part is cardigan.... Kind of ethereal, imo.
