We're losers, but we didn't bleach our hair.

I just realized that almost every weekend my family and I go to our cottage, which minimizes the number of posts a LOT. We'll be going for like a month in the summer. AHHH. And we are going this weekend too. In like an hour. Baha.

Anywho, remember Claire from the last photoshoot post? She and I hung out the other day, and got a few pictures of our lameness. Lamity? Lameability? Well just the same, I thought I would post the pictures. I almost did an outfit post on what I wore that day but these are more fun!Yes, I normally wear glasses. I choose to take them off in my outfit photos where I'm supposed to look at least a little older and more photogenic, haha. The one on the far left is my outfit, and that odd blue underwear looking thing is shorts, haha. I actually got that large sweater from Stephanie of Fashion Robot!
I wear: Sweater, Stephanie; Tights, childhood closet; Gray socks, Walgreens. Ats right, you heard me!
Claire wears: Shirt, threadless.com; Jeans, Target.
My legs are stubs. Meh.

Oh, and I swear I am almost done stalking Lily Allen, but-she bleached her hair, and I feel the need to give my two cents about it, especially when it cost her quite a lot. I really don't like the look for her.....GoFugYourself had a great post about it. I love Lily, but I can't help but agree with every fug those ladies fugged about. Mistake!

Does Barry Manilow know that you raid his wardrobe?

Does John Bender know that I raid his?
I wore this outfit to school today and started feeling like Bender from The Breakfast Club. Sometimes when I wear certain clothes I feel like I'm someone else On the bus I even busted out singing "I WANNA BE AN AIR FORCE RANGER!!!" at the top of my lungs. How perfect would Doc Martens be with this outfit??? Look at the photo above in the upper right hand corner!
Brown shirt, childhood closet; Scarf, theater thrift sale; Denim jacket, vintage; Skinny jeans, H&M; Shoes, Converse; Sunglasses, fredflare.com.

Oh, how I long for the day when I can get my own camera! Currently I am sneaking into my sister's room and using hers of 5 years. Not working out too well, as that results in some low quality photos...

But for now we are young, let us lay in the sun

I feel like such an ass when I say I don't have the time to post regularly when I am only in 6th grade and everyone else is in like college, or at least older than me. Ughhhh...but at least school ends in a mere week! Yay for summer (hence the post title. Neutral Milk Hotel, anyone?)!!

Anyways, I saw that K-Line made a post some time ago about what she would wear "in a perfect world" and tagged me to do it! Hers was fabulous, I would use the same material if I could! But this seems like fun, so here goes.

Here are the rules:
1. Choose runway pictures from ANY season you like and choose 3 outfits for Day, Evening & Party.
2. Briefly explain why and state the name of the designer & which season the outfit is from.
3. Tag 3 other bloggers once you are done and let them know by posting a comment on their blog.

Well, this is going to be a little overwhelming. Oh, the possibilities! I'll try not to depress myself too much. And if I do, I'll just get back to watching reruns of The Office online. Ah, Steve Carell.

Day:A beautiful floral sundress by Oscar de la Renta for their 2007 Spring RTW collection. I chose it because it's simple but fun, the colors and pattern look great together, and the neck and waist lines remind me of 50's fashions. It's just so cute!

Evening:This is Christian Lacroix Spring 2008 RTW. I chose it because the dress is so elegant and the pattern is just beautiful, the outfit is so well balanced with the bangles. Plus, I have been loving all these over-the-top head pieces lately.

Party (woot woot):Wow, everything I've picked has been a dress....anyways, this is Erin Fetherston Fall 2008 RTW. It's very basic, but I simply adore the color and the material. A dress to have fun in, but still look classy.

I'm tagging:

1. Adrift in the Blogosphere
2. Jello on Springs
3. Ragamala

This was quite a pleasure, and I discovered a lot of designers I never thought I would really like. I suggest doing it, even if you weren't tagged by anyone, it's just really fun! Which one of these looks do you like best?

Everything's just wonderful

Bad blogger etiquette!!! I know I know!!! I haven't posted in a while....and my last few posts have been kind of "fillers" I'd guess you say....blah. It's the SCHOOL, I tell you, wretched school! Even when I'm not posting, I've been spending so much time commenting and browsing, and I'm still behind on my work....fhsdxbgfjaetrxwae.
Dumb school. Sometimes I just want to crawl into bed and drink Nesquik and watch Seinfeld.
Well I guess I'll have to make this one another filler. Deal with it, punks.

SO, I recently started listening to Lily Allen. In case you haven't heard of her, she's a singer from the UK. Her music is sassy and upbeat and fun fun fun.
In British Vogue May 2008. she was named It Girl of the month. So I thought I would make a collage of some of my favorite outfits of hers...Her style is kind of like her music. Innocent yet sassy, childish but "grown up," basic but bold. Just fun.
While I'm at it I guess I'll suggest some of my favorite songs of hers:
-Everything's Just Wonderful
-Take What You Take
-Shame For You

See you soon (hopefully)

Doesn't this just scream "80's trash"???

So today my mom and I biked into what is known as "The Art District" in our town. We stopped at this records store, Val's Halla, practically a landmark. I was browsing through the records and came across The Jets. I've never heard their music before, but their outfits were so, well, rad (you heard me.).
I ended up getting a Bob Dylan CD, a Blondie record (Debbie Harry adaptation outfit coming soon. I got a captain sailor hat at the theater thrift sale, just perfect) and a The Who record. But look at this album cover, and you just try to tell me you don't love what they're wearing:

All the bright colors! It reminds me of Saved By The Bell. Check out the guy in the red in the middle, he looks like Screech.
I think it's what drove me towards later buying a bright orange windbreaker at a thrift store. It's just so RAD.

Theatrical Thriftage (I gotta lay off the illiterations and puns)

Behold, the pictorials of my wondrous journey to the theater thrift sale. The entire (clothing) cost was only six bucks, and I got a crapload of stuff. So, yeah, I guess you could say I'm set on clothes for the next few months (even though we all know that in a couple weeks I'll probably go out "just to window shop", find something I need/want, find some excuse to get it, and buy it. Alas, the cycle of my growing, mutated dresser).

Anyways, lets get to the loot! For the sake of my tired, callused, jello-y fingers, I'm gonna just say TT for theater thrift. Yup, I'm that lazy. Click to enlarge.
So, look! Enjoy! Comment! Fix yourself a turkey sandwich!

Hat, TT; Dress, TT; Necklace, Wet Seal; Tights, childhood closet

Dress, TT; Purse, used to be grandma's; Hair clip, homemade

White tank top (not shown), Aeropostale; Blue thingy ding ding, TT; Belt, Claire's Accesories; Tights, childhood closet

Shirt, NYC street seller; Vest, TT; Skinny jeans, H&M; Necklace, Wet Seal

Tee, Target; Shorts, TT; Sunglasses, Fredflare.com

Polo, childhood closet; Shorts, TT; Sunglasses, used to be mom's

Skunk Carcas

That's what my sister Rivkah (yes, we all have weird names) said I smelled like. Afterwards I told her she had the scent of "roses and lavender on a rainy morning." See what a good-hearted sister I am????

Anyways, the theater thrift sale made my life. Everything started out like $2, but after a while they decided what-the-heck-let's-make-everything-fifty-cents. Afterwards, Rivkah and I ended up jamming ourselves into the car with 4 life-size bags of clothing, a lamp, a director's chair, and a mirror.

However, I think the lavender remark helped a wee bit with RIVKAH DECIDING TO LET ME USE HER CAMERA TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE COSTUME FINDS. This is the sucking-up I had to do (in a nutshell): Hey sis! Like omg you are soooo nice and cool and perfect! Not that I'm sucking up to you, but you are very pretty too!

So expect an EXCELLENT post very VERY soon!

I don't have the heart to leave this post with just words. So I'd like to point out that in the Blumarine Spring 2008 collection I saw a lot of Betsey Johnson, Marc Jacobs, Comme des Garcons and Christopher Kane in there.

Eh, I know it's hard to read. But you get the main point right? Click to enlarge. The models' faces look very pixelly and distorted, but that's what you get from working with a crappy program like Paint.

Before I go...

Ahh. Last post before BEACH.

So the other day my friends and I played this game in Old Navy where we split up in teams and put together different outfits and make a huge mess all over the store and embarrass ourselves. I saw these bathing suits and was instantly reminded of American Apparel. So compare. AA:

Similar, no? Of course the Old Navy ones have those awkward and unnecessary holes and drawstrings....they had silver ones too that I could not locate online. EDIT: I'm not planning on buying any of these, as they would never fit, but I love to hear what you guys have to say about them!

Warning, rambling ahead

Sorry for the post delay. This week was my sister's birthday week. It was actually pretty fun because we went to a Sox game, saw my best friend and her family there, and they snuck us into their level. GREAT seats. $5 gummi bears. Very fun.

Anyways, I probably won't be able to blog again until maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. My family and I are going to our cottage for mother's day, meaning going to the BEACH.

Speaking of the beach, anyone get a cute swimsuit lately?? I'm still on a hunt. It's hard finding one that I like that is still comfortable and body-suiting and cheap.

Blah blah blah, promise I'll stop after this one: Today I am going to a theater "yard sale". The theater is moving so they're trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff. I'm so excited though, I can't wait. Remember the 60's costumes??? And last year I was in Thoroughly Modern Millie, so they'll have a bunch of 20's stuff, too!!!! AH I am hyper and excited and still in my pj's.
So I hope everyone has a good weekend! Any fun plans??

I'm not bitter

I'm sure I am not the only one who has noticed the Mr. Men trend. They're very 80's which I of course love, and I have the Stubborn one because, well, I am. But now Junkfood is starting to butcher the look! It's too, I dunno how to say this, modern. The brand is taking it too far I guess. But I'm getting very bugged. They're starting to pop up on hoodies and yoga pants, and now panties?!?! It must stop! Roger Hargreaves, author of the Mr. Men books (yes, they were books first) in case you are too lazy to google it, must be ashamed of these wretched creations.

So I love the simple text and picture shirt, but these must die.

Great pick-up lines:
^What is wrong with Ms. Bad's funky expression???
Unnecessary designs and/or text:

^I could picture this at Limited Too. BFF!^I really hope this wasn't an attempt to mix Mr. Men (80's) with The Beatles (60's).... ^Rinestones. I can only ask WHY????^It's back and it's on a hoodie

^Here comes regret.

^Back of a pair of pants. She's on your butt.^Now she's near your crotch.

Now she's ON your crotch:
^Magic in your panties?
^If you scroll up there is a pair of pants where Ms. Chatterbox is on the butt. Kinda funny.

Here, I'll refresh your brain with something sensible:
