yes, we are still talking about resort (part four)

color
Burst
The colors the colors the colors.

Bottega Veneta (1, 6.) GAH. See what I meant about the brilliant color sense when I talked about this collection in part one? These two looks in particular remind me of Scooby Doo, but don't ask me to explain that.

Thakoon (2.) Relaxed art teacher vibes. The cool kind of art teacher! Not the Ghost World kind. Also the colored hair is obviously A+.

Celine (3, 5.) Phoebe Philo does bright colors incredibly well, too. Part one for more.

Givenchy (4.) Part three, but sweet lord do I want to wear an all-red suit with brooches that look like they were acquired randomly in random places over a long period of time.

The first top is my favorite. In the '90s I used to wear an all red pantsuit that I got from a consignment store. I'd swear it was by Celine but I could be remembering wrong. I don't think I have any pictures, unfortunately.

resort finish! Time to talk about 2011 menswear! The colours in Jil Sander are seizure inducing! The nice kind of seizure! Pleasant seizure!

The scooby doo thing makes perfect sense to me: the colors being used are being 70's cartoon-y, slightly darker than outright bright colors but still very rich... still, they're being put together in a modern way.

Convinced that look was made for me, printing it out as we speak to hang near my bedside and gaze at longingly each night. Kind of creepy that I develop relationships with clothing I will never be able to buy. I'm that kind of person I guess.

for bottega veneta, I can see how you think scooby doo. it's kind of big print blocky 70's. also LOVED Thakoon, I just kind of want to take that girl home and make her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Hello Tavi,
I have been enjoying some of the Resort collections, specially Oscar de la Renta's. However, there is nothing like Haute Couture and I can't wait for the fashion week HC to start.

I like 3. The length and fit make it relaxed, but the colours make it smart.

Givenchy resort is very reminiscent of Acne's Fall 09 collection; a sleek androgynous silhouette with heels for a touch of femininity. LOVE IT.
