Aah yes, Walter Van Beirendonck is great, his shop in Antwerp is amazing, if you ever visit Belgium you HAVE to visit his shop, you'll love it! (he sells Comme des garçons too! ^-^) Did you know he's one of the Antwerp Six? You know,the big Belgian avant-garde designers, along with Dries Van Noten & Ann Demeulemeester! Oh and if you do visit Antwerp, you might run into him on the streets =) (He's very nice in person, but his beard is kinda supercrazy from up close ^-^)
Walter Van Beirendonck used to be a lot more amazing. Now he's just silly.
At least he supports the local talent.

When I was in Amsterdam, my friend used to go to Antwerp at least once a month because his boyfriend was from there, and apparently accidentally he was so excited by Walter Van Beirendoncks shop that he was wandering in it in a daze and walked right into Walter himself! Now he's back in Antwerp doing an internship with AF Vandevorst, lucky guy!
