December 2, 2008

and then she fell out of the sky and yelled "proofread like a bird!"

Hello readers. I am writing Monday night and plan on scheduling this to publish tomorrow at approximately 3:24 PM Central time. This "scheduling" biz is a new technique, often used by spies such as myself, and you must keep your knowledge of its existence top secret.

I am writing because tomorrow will be hectic and busy, but that's nothing new. Spies like myself have millions of important tasks we must complete every day. A top secret meeting with Rich of Weardrobe will take place, and I received something quite marvelous in the mail today which I will share later this week.

Why not now, you ask? Oh dear readers. Part of being a spy is maintaining a mysterious air about yourself. I suppose I could tell you right now, but that would be too easy.
And spies prefer to do things the hard way. The challenging way.

I rather enjoy this type of writing, and what I enjoy even more is the fact that being a spy has nothing to do with my outfit or these pictures.
...or does it?

top, used to be mom's. studded denim vest, childhood closet/DIY. hand-me-down skirt. H&M tights. floral dr. martens via ebay. pin is of my dad when he was young and "hip" and I have no clue why or how I have it.

Yet another lovely ensemble! I also dig how all of your pictures have an antiquated, vintage-y feel to them.

you may be the best dressed spy I have ever seen. However, I'm not sure how many spies I have actually seen due to the fact they are super secret and stuff.

Either way you are still very well dressed

Editorial-worthy pictures. Floral docs put to good use. I have to ask though, do you ever get bored of your hair?

Your posts have become a bright point in my day (and mind you, my days are pretty bright already so that's a feat).

I wish I'd had the confidence at your age to dress with the sort of creativity you do. And to write about it with such clever earnestness.

Love how these pictures look like originals from the 70s. I also enjoy wearing my dads old black and white Van Halen pin! Like the colours of everything.

Spy talk is fun. But being the pink panther diamond *POINTS TO MY PROFILE* is funner (I lack proper english)

The vest is killer. The pin of your dad in a photobooth (it looks like it) is awesome.

I know, people just don't understand everything us spies have to do on a daily basis! I like your outfit a LOT too. :)

lopi-I am at the moment, and am considering cutting it to a YSL-esque bowlcut...

stylemagnet-Yes, it was amazing!

fashionista-Haha, most are inside jokes with my friend's. This one is about a book about birds that has an interview with the author in the back, and we were laughing at how she compared basically everything to birds. In school we had to write a story so I made the author fly in and yell "proofread like a bird"...

sondra-tough work being a spy, no? :)

Haha, I guess we'll neve know! That outfit was made in heaven, it's frickin amazing! I love what you did with that vest, paired with the docs and girly skirt is just priceless.
Also letting you know that I've tagged you! After your spy duties you should check my blog for the instructions, it's a really fun tag I swear. It's music themed, so I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Love the denim vest and those floral DMs!! Oh and the drop crotch trousers were actually from a market stall in India lol.

I fairly recently found your blog and think you are fantastic! I love, love, love your crazy clothing combos (ooh alliteration!) and have been inspired by your love of patterns to be a bit more daring and splash out with some floral tights.
Also, I HATE YOU AND YOUR BLACK AND WHITE TIGHTS! No fair - urbanoutfitters.co.uk has TAKEN THEM OFF ! They only have the fluorescent ones left and I'm not brave enough for them yet.
Jealous, me?!

That second photo is just stunning. You have such a gorgeous face. And I love your writing; it's so clever and entertaining (the title for this post really made me laugh).

Enough compliments! As you were.

You look AWESOME. Those floral docs pretty much scream "Tavi"! And don't worry about all that spy business, nothing I write about ever has to do with my outfits! Well, that's a lie, but you know what I mean!
