what use am i as a heap on the floor

I started putting this outfit together subconsciously channeling Luella. When I came to realization that my cyberstylestalking was taking over my BRAIN, I added and changed a few things to make it more obviously Luella. Clearly, my color scheme is different, the few baby floral items in my closet are all in red. It would be more Luella-esque without the tights, but I was already wearing them and it was ass cold outside. Plus it would be a wee bit short without em. I know, like, Tavi has morals? Whaaa?

But hot DOG, Luella Bartley...I want to stick you in a sweatshop and force you to make me frilly and beautiful clothes at the cost of 2 cents an hour. My love for you is that genuine and sincere and caring.
Intense runway walking right herez. By the way, I might be Christian (proj christian, dur) for Halloween...any ideas on how I could do it without getting new glasses/hair cut/hair color/sex change/suddenly develop ingenious design skills? The weird cherry thing I tied it on the side like an apron was my favorite dress when I was a young gnome. Basically everything here I thrifted or found somewhere in my house (well duh, not like you can buy doilie coasters and green bouquet ribbon at the mall) but the glasses are from Forever 21 and the tights are from American Apparel.I didn't wear this outfit anywhere, seeing as it took TEN MINUTES TO PROPERLY ASSEMBLE and all I did that day was watch bad tv and eat. One of my teachers whom I am not incredibly fond of is always pushing us to eat healthier and exercise 24/7. I know it's supposed to motivate me, but it really just makes me want to eat fried dough and sit on the computer all day in spite of him.

That's as far as rebellion goes in my book. God I'm suburbian.

you could probably go to a craft store and get some netting and a little white hat and make a Luella hat.

i feel like i'm constantly pushing you to DIY things in my comments. :)

this is all too lovely.

elizabeth louise- As said in the post, I didn't wear this outfit to school. Had it been more comfortable and not violate our strict dress code, I would have.

You're hilarious :]. I love this outfit. As for the Christian costume, wear tight black pants and a tee and style your hair with massive amounts of Aqua net!

I love the pattern-mixing and all the reds!

Ha. I had to take health for a semester and the whole entire time my teacher was stressing the fact that the youth was getting fat and we need to eat healthy. The last day we had to do this crossword and the prize for completing it was a whole bag of fun size snickers.

That outfit is awesome. I think the two-tone tights really make it.

That outfit is absolute genius, you impress me more and more with every post! Just incredible!
When you said you wanted to be christian for halloween I was like, ummm, wear a big cross and carry around a bible? Lol, it took me a minute okay?
For you hair get some black spray hair colour from the dollar store, seriously it works great and cans are usually no more than a dollar or two! With your hair lenght you could just straiten it and gel it to just like it.
For the glasses, guilt your parents into ordering you a pair of these babies: http://www.bleudame.com/product_info.php?cPath=96&products_id=7923
clear lensed glasses, for only 12.80! Here's the main page:

Good luck with the costume, brilliant idea it should be so funny! Don't forget to talk like him all day, fiierrrrrrrrrce!

Thank you ladies <3

newlyfound-yeah, I've had some very...um, overweight health teachers. SUCH HYPOCRISY IT'S MADNESS.

nice and shiny-Man I laughed out loud at the christian thing. And thanks for the glasses link! My concern is that I am practically blind without my glasses and it'll be hard wearing a different pair. Maybe I'll just tape black strips of construction paper to the rims or something O__O

I'm a big fan of how this outfit is greater than the sum of its parts. It doesn't exactly match, but it works together perfectly. Like broccoli & cheese. Who would have thought that that would have been a good idea? They don't have green beans & cheese. Celery & cheese. Soylent green & cheese. Nosiree.

Anyway, great outfit.

oh tavi, don't worry about being suburban. i know plently of people who would love nothing better then to sit at their computers and eat fried dough. now, when you start tipping cows or become a cheerleader, then i think we'll need to talk. cow tipping... is that a suburb thing, or a farm thing?
