dance your cares away, worries for another day!

Finals are over! The witch is dead! I celebrated by going with my parents and sister to the Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. And because there's nothing cooler than dressing to match the museum exhibit you're going to, I went for some Muppets inspiration.
NEIVZ ring, thrifted sweater.

Lips to go with the eye ring, sent to me by Prada.
Hand-me-downed socks, boots were a gift from the woman who designs hide and co-owns ra, and the Oscar the Grouch hair scrunchie is from a birthday party I attended in like..the 5th grade.
And now! My favorite Muppets episodes from when I was little. I highly recommend the exhibit to any Chicagoans, even though it closes in two days. It was my second time going and felt just as magical as the first. Plus it's really fascinating to learn about his less popular projects, like the experimental films he made in the 60's and 70's and even just the posters he made for local businesses as a teenager. Also I wish he was my dad. (Sorry, Dad.)

I went to that Muppet exhibit (shortly before Christmas; I am also a Chicago resident) and I was warmed throughout and inspired by it, so it makes me really happy to see this post!

We own multiple seasons of the Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock on DVD...a staple in our house. I actually make a special trek to FAO Schwartz on my last trip to NY to get a REAL customized muppet for Tyson for his birthday..check it out here, they're AMAZING:

I just watched all of those I totally didn't realize how many greats they use to have on that show I mean Gene Kelly? Oh and Elton John ahh how far he has come since those days and I loved Julie Andrews the Sound of Music is one of my favorite musical movies of all time. Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on having finished your exams. I have them on february, so now it's the tough time.
I love the ring and the hair thing. It's amazing you've managed to keep it since 5th grade. I have lost (kind way to say "the evil demon who bewitched my father stole and threw away") many things I liked, especially things which may seem childish. Well, of course, I'm pretty much older than you [giggles].

Congratulations on getting through the finals! :-)

And just like in those 3D pictures, I stared and stared at your outfit picture until I could finally see!

When put together; your clenched fist, the eye ring, and your fluffy arm, it all adds up to a little muppett in itself! And on top of that, you have a slightly scolding expression, like your little friend has been misbehaving.

Or...that could just be me! I never was too good with those 3D pictures :-/

Perfect outfit for the occassion!
