But for now we are young, let us lay in the sun

I feel like such an ass when I say I don't have the time to post regularly when I am only in 6th grade and everyone else is in like college, or at least older than me. Ughhhh...but at least school ends in a mere week! Yay for summer (hence the post title. Neutral Milk Hotel, anyone?)!!

Anyways, I saw that K-Line made a post some time ago about what she would wear "in a perfect world" and tagged me to do it! Hers was fabulous, I would use the same material if I could! But this seems like fun, so here goes.

Here are the rules:
1. Choose runway pictures from ANY season you like and choose 3 outfits for Day, Evening & Party.
2. Briefly explain why and state the name of the designer & which season the outfit is from.
3. Tag 3 other bloggers once you are done and let them know by posting a comment on their blog.

Well, this is going to be a little overwhelming. Oh, the possibilities! I'll try not to depress myself too much. And if I do, I'll just get back to watching reruns of The Office online. Ah, Steve Carell.

Day:A beautiful floral sundress by Oscar de la Renta for their 2007 Spring RTW collection. I chose it because it's simple but fun, the colors and pattern look great together, and the neck and waist lines remind me of 50's fashions. It's just so cute!

Evening:This is Christian Lacroix Spring 2008 RTW. I chose it because the dress is so elegant and the pattern is just beautiful, the outfit is so well balanced with the bangles. Plus, I have been loving all these over-the-top head pieces lately.

Party (woot woot):Wow, everything I've picked has been a dress....anyways, this is Erin Fetherston Fall 2008 RTW. It's very basic, but I simply adore the color and the material. A dress to have fun in, but still look classy.

I'm tagging:

1. Adrift in the Blogosphere
2. Jello on Springs
3. Ragamala

This was quite a pleasure, and I discovered a lot of designers I never thought I would really like. I suggest doing it, even if you weren't tagged by anyone, it's just really fun! Which one of these looks do you like best?

You are such a 50s girl, Tavi! I'm really liking the fitted waist full skirt thing too at the moment.

wow I've never met such a stylish 6th grader. The 6th graders in my school wear Juicy and Primp 25/7. But I know what you mean about feeling like an ass..I think most people assume I'm older than I am with the amount I complain about schoolwork.
