  10. Oh boy Oh boy, why is that able to wear that scarf-ish rug thing and look stellar? Why? Why? !

Also, that illustration includes a fainting couch, which every woman wearing a rug needs. Why? Just in case.

You never know when... someone might...

    walk all over her.

[my sincerest apologies for the awful, awful joke.]

  18. Hi! i see that your mother is Norwegian! what do you think of Norwegian design? designers like Fam Irvoll, Kjersti Vatle, leila hafzi and such?

    ReplyDelete
  19. i really like that illustration.

I miss the good old-fashioned kind of illustration - ones not done with computer, or a photoshop.

Which also makes me think about animation as well. The 3D stuff is great, but I miss the simple 2D animation - like Tom and Jerry. I was in love with Tom and Jerry as a kid. The music, slapstick humor, the expressions. So fun to watch.

hmm...this particular piece from Lanvin's collection totally reminds me of an oversized poncho, just a tad. From far away, looks a lot like the rug in my kitchen...

From another perspective, definitely has this exotic feel about it. Probably thanks to the jewellery. Otherwise, ruffle out the model's hair, and she could pass for a hobo. [ok. i'm being a tad harsh. sorry. maybe i'm in a bad mood today. :(]

love the draping though. who knows, maybe it'll grow on me like bad romance did. :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. for such seemingly drab colors, the piece looks so light and airy, and beautiful

  79. I don't know... I like the shoes and the hair but the texture of the dress looks too heavy. I understand that the whole collection is a play on textures, but I still think it would be better in a lighter fabric. I liked the collection on the whole though, especially the first several sculptural, ruffled dresses.
