I miss the good old-fashioned kind of illustration - ones not done with computer, or a photoshop.
Which also makes me think about animation as well. The 3D stuff is great, but I miss the simple 2D animation - like Tom and Jerry. I was in love with Tom and Jerry as a kid. The music, slapstick humor, the expressions. So fun to watch.
hmm...this particular piece from Lanvin's collection totally reminds me of an oversized poncho, just a tad. From far away, looks a lot like the rug in my kitchen...
From another perspective, definitely has this exotic feel about it. Probably thanks to the jewellery. Otherwise, ruffle out the model's hair, and she could pass for a hobo. [ok. i'm being a tad harsh. sorry. maybe i'm in a bad mood today. :(]
love the draping though. who knows, maybe it'll grow on me like bad romance did. :)
I suddenly heard Julie Andrews Joddeling from a mountain somewhere when I read this. Shame the pic doesn't have more Lederhosen involved. Well, I say 'shame' ...
You were friends with my grandparents (lol) and they invited you over so that I could have someone to hang out with. And we talked about fashion and went on these wooden swings. It was weird, but awesome.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Hello Super Tavi, Helloooo Everyone ! Yes , super this Lanvin's ! I especially like the black touch on her feet ! Fabulous ! Kiss ! ============================================================
the dress in the painting is lovely. im desperate to find an occasion where i can the most delicate, elegant baby pink chiffon as a long, sleeveless gown, and pretend im in heaven.
Hi Tavi! I'm also a young blogger and i wanted to tell you how much i love your site! it's so very creative and i LOVE the tavi t-shirt. I want to buy it! edward gorey's illustration is charming and beautiful. i love your haircut too...it's kinda like mine!
I really love your the way you write & your style :) overflowing with awesomenesssss!! would really appriciate for you to check out my blog.. (actually would probably like have a fit or fall over from shock or something if you did..) but it would really be grrrreat to get your opinion ...
I don't know... I like the shoes and the hair but the texture of the dress looks too heavy. I understand that the whole collection is a play on textures, but I still think it would be better in a lighter fabric. I liked the collection on the whole though, especially the first several sculptural, ruffled dresses.
You are a star in France! We love you. Loook: "Style Rookie 12 ans : star du web hype" http://www.urbains.net/mode/style-rookie-12-ans-star-du-web-hype/
Hope you get to the Gorey Museum in Yarmouthport, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. You would love his huge tribal jewelry collection and his floor length fur coat on display. He was a very cool guy.
in my 13's I used to play with my dolls and sew clothes for them but I can't call that style or fashion. but you are just incredible. I just can't picture myself girl more creative than you.good for you!
It becomes thought provoking when someone disagrees with you. And it's nice when someone agrees with you, but when another champions your cause and promotes your thoughts, well that is purely splendid! Go checkout pursuitoflifestyle.blogspot.com/ by Jennifer Spencer
